Troubleshooting
View the errorlog
nano /opt/iliasdata/log/chaterror.log- Scroll down:
- Windows: STRG+End
- Mac OS: STRG+V+W
- Look for errors
See if the chatserver runs with HTOP
htop- Press F4
- Enter the word
chat
- Enter the word
Curl
- Try these curl -s commands:
- Should give:
HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found - If it gives nothing that means the chatserver is not up
- Way I:
curl -s --head http://127.0.0.1:8080 | head -n 1curl -s --head https://chat.bbs-ilias.de:443 | head -n 1
- Way II:
curl -s --head https://bbs-ilias.de:8080 | head -n 1
- Should give:
HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found - If it gives nothing that means the chatserver is not up
